I joined Ropes & Gray in 2006 as an associate in the Intellectual Property group. I came to Ropes for its strong intellectual property practice following the merger with the Fish & Neave IP boutique in 2005. My practice is a mix of patent litigation and prosecution. I have worked on cases involving business methods, consumer electronics, data compression, microprocessors, networking, optical drives, and telecommunications. I have also prosecuted patents in the U.S. and abroad, and have conducted due diligence investigations in connection with IP asset purchases.

I graduated from Auburn University in 2000 with a Bachelors in electrical engineering. I then moved to Seattle to pursue a Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the University of Washington, but developed an interest in patent law instead. After an all-too-brief stint in the pacific northwest, I left for Columbia Law School in New York, where I graduated with a J.D. in 2006.

Since joining the firm, I have practiced in three of our offices – Washington, New York, and Silicon Valley – and have been privileged to work with and learn from smart, talented attorneys in each. Outside the office, I like to enjoy the outdoors, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
