I joined Ropes & Gray in 1988, and became a partner in the firm's Private Client Group in 1996. I specialize in representing fiduciaries in the settlement of estates, preparing estate plans for individuals and preparing prenuptial agreements. I also serve as trustee of numerous family trusts and am a member of the firm's Trust Conference. I find that one of the most satisfying aspects of my practice is helping bereaved people through a difficult time in life by navigating them through the many complex probate and tax rules involved in settling an estate. I also enjoy helping in firm administration by serving on the firm's Hiring Group.

I am a 1984 graduate of Cornell University and a 1987 graduate of New York University School of Law, where I was a member of Law Review. Before joining Ropes & Gray, I was a law clerk to Judge Phyllis A. Kravitch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Savannah, Georgia.

I am married and have two young children, Owen and Angie. Since 1995, I have worked a reduced time schedule to help balance the needs of my family with my law practice.
