I am a seventh year associate in the Bankruptcy & Business Restructuring Group of Ropes & Gray. My practice focuses on corporate restructuring, chapter 11 bankruptcy and distressed debt trading. My clients are typically banks, hedge funds, private equity funds, creditors’ committees and indenture trustees involved in corporate restructurings throughout the United States. I recently represented a group of investors providing financing to a paper manufacturing business coming out of chapter 11 bankruptcy in Seattle, Washington. The financing included a debt and equity rights offering and implicated numerous corporate governance issues. I currently represent an indenture trustee, trustee for over $400 million in bonds, in a Delaware bankruptcy case of a shipping container business that is incorporated under the laws of Bermuda but operating out of the United Kingdom. The case involves selling the company’s European ferry fleet and the resolution of novel cross-border issues.

I received my undergraduate degree in 1995 from Princeton University, my masters degree in 1998 from Yonsei University (in Seoul, Korea), and my law degree in 2001 from the University of Hawaii. Before joining Ropes & Gray in 2006, I was an associate in the New York offices of Kelley Drye and Warren LLP.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf, snowboarding and scuba diving.
