I am a sixth year associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the IP Group. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in chemical engineering, I moved to California to become a process engineer for a semiconductor manufacturer. In 2004, I earned a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law where I was the Editor-in-Chief of the Santa Clara Law Review.
Ropes & Gray offers a diverse selection of practice areas. I have focused on intellectual property litigation spanning a wide variety of technologies. I have worked with teams of attorneys from Silicon Valley, New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C. My work has included motion practice, hearings, fact and expert discovery, and claim construction.
Last year I went to my first trial and was given a lot of responsibility. I had an opportunity to travel to Europe in order to prepare witnesses for trial. I argued a motion before the court at the pre-trial conference. During the trial, I successfully argued in court to keep potentially damaging evidence out. My experience at the trial was rewarding, and I look forward to my next trial.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching and playing sports, cooking, exercising, and touring nearby Napa Valley.
