I joined Ropes & Gray in 2004 and am an associate in the Hedge Funds Group (part of the firm's Corporate Department). My practice includes the representation of a variety of financial institutions, investment managers and endowments in connection with their derivatives trading, the formation and ongoing representation of hedge funds and investment managers, and transactional work for investment management clients. I also represent several foreign pension plans and U.S. investors when they make private equity and debt investments.

I continue to be happily impressed by the opportunities offered at Ropes & Gray and by the firm's emphasis on mentoring. Typically, both partners and senior associates take the extra time to explain their thoughts; their efforts have been crucial in my becoming a better lawyer. I have close personal relationships with many of my colleagues and feel comfortable discussing not only legal questions that arise over the workday, but also vacation plans, books and other colloquial matters.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring New York's many museums and playgrounds with my family, cooking and traveling. 

I received my J.D. from Yale Law School, and an A.B. and A.M. in chemistry from Harvard University. Before law school, I was part of the life sciences team at Atlas Venture, a venture capital fund.
