I am Josh Leuchtenburg, a partner in the Corporate Department resident in New York. At Ropes & Gray, I continue to represent private equity and venture capital firms in their transactions and I also regularly represent their portfolio companies. Given the nature of my practice, I am able to engage in a full range of corporate activities from the formation of companies, to growth investments, through exits by merger, acquisition or public offering.

I grew up in the New York area and graduated from Duke University in 1980 and from Columbia Law School in 1984. My wife, Tamara, and I live with our daughter Julia (13) in the Carnegie Hill section of Manhattan's Upper East Side. We love taking advantage of the wonderful things New York City has to offer. In addition to going to the theatre, museums and other quintessentially New York events, we love the fact that we can still live a "small town" lifestyle in our neighborhood. We go biking with our daughter in Central Park and play soccer and tennis on the weekends. But, best of all, Julia loves my favorite sport, golf; which, of course, has nothing to do with the fact that as a young girl she was allowed to chew gum on the golf course!
