I am a partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the hedge fund group. My practice includes:
- Representing a variety of financial institutions (hedge funds, mutual funds, and investment advisers, among others) in connection with derivatives trading, including negotiating agreements and helping them analyze credit and other risks arising from these investments as well as recent legislative developments in this area.
- Advising various clients in connection with the formation and operation of hedge funds.
- Representing several universities on a regular basis in connection with investments made by their endowments, including derivatives, brokerage arrangements, commodities transactions, private equity investments, and arrangements with brokers, custodians and investment managers.
- Mergers and acquisitions in the investment management industry.
I am a member of the committee which administers the firm's Impact Program, a program that enables interested attorneys, together with their practice group, to design and work alternative schedules for family, health or similar reasons.
I am from the Philadelphia area, came to Boston for college and (other than one year in New York City), never left. I graduated from Harvard University in 1993 with a degree in social studies and from Harvard Law School in 1996.
