I joined Ropes & Gray in the fall of 2006 as an associate in the Corporate Department and am a member of the Intellectual Property and Rights Management Group, Privacy and Data Security Counseling Group, and Sports Law Group. My practice focuses on intellectual property transactions, including licensing, services, distribution, sponsorship, and other strategic agreements. I also advise clients on a wide variety of compliance issues in the areas of information security and privacy. Over the past few years, I have helped companies of all sizes develop comprehensive information security and privacy programs, respond to data security breaches, prepare reports and certification applications for government agencies, draft and negotiate agreements and relationships to protect information assets, and develop products and services that comply with international, federal, and state laws, regulations, and guidance as well as industry-based rules and standards.

I am also a member of our firm's Women's Forum Steering Committee, a group dedicated to maintaining a strong and supportive network for women within and outside the firm. We organize firm-wide activities and external outreach programs on various topics and facilitate opportunities for development, networking, and mentoring among women throughout the year.

I graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1998 with a degree in Political Science. I also studied for a year at the Sorbonne and at Université Paris VIII, in Paris, France. Before attending law school, I was a consultant with Accenture, a global professional services firm. I went to work for an intellectual property law boutique to gain some exposure to the legal profession and then received my J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2006. I am a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Outside of work, I spend time with my family and indulge my love of film, whether serious, silly, modern, or classic.
